Create sections in the binder for the new home, the old home, utilities, and so on. Put your documents in the sleeves and organize them into sections. That binder will be a life-saver during your move.Time Has More Value Than Money
When you have a lot of time to plan a move you can find ways to save money by doing things yourself. But when you have to move on short notice it’s worth it to pay a little extra and have other people take care of tasks. For example, most apartments will allow you to move out without cleaning the apartment if you pay a cleaning fee. They also will have the rugs shampooed for you although that will cost an additional fee. It’s worth paying to have the apartment management take care of those things so that you don’t have to do them yourself or find someone to do them.Get Good Storage
When you don’t have time to sort through your possessions and carefully pack them because you just have to get out of where you are at rent a climate controlled storage unit and move all of your stuff in there. Take it in clean trash bags if you need to. You can go through your stuff and pack it more carefully in the storage unit but when time is of the essence a storage unit will give you someplace safe to keep your stuff while you figure out your next move.
